A look behind the lens

Hey! I'm McKenna. I grew up in a small town in the bootheel of Missouri. I loved music, my tv shows and movies, and basketball. When I first got to SEMO, my plan was to major in computer science. I decided after one semester that I did not want to do that for the rest of my life. My creative side felt like it was being locked away. Luckily, I had a friend in band who was in the TV/Film major here. Once I heard more about the program, I knew it was just what I was looking for. I grew up trying to make YouTube videos. I loved recording things or taking pictures. I also loved everything I watched. I loved a beautiful film or tv show. The thought of getting to be a part of that process of making something sounded amazing. This was a field where I could expand my creative side, which mattered a great deal to me. So, here I am,  years later as a junior in college, and I can tell you changing my major was the best decision ever! #ilovetvfilm
